Things You Never Knew about LBJ

In recognition of Lyndon Johnson's efforts to save European Jewry as Hitler's noose tightened around their necks in the 1930s. We invite scholars and survivors to submit historical accounts of LBJ's actions.

LBJ broke the law to save European Jews and smuggle them into Texas in the late 30s and early 40s. Because of the illegal nature of the operation LBJ was careful to cover his tracks. Historians are now trying to document his activities to support an application to have Yad V'Shem honor LBJ as a righteous gentile.
